Using Telstra's 3G network (2100Mhz frequency), you can get reasonably fast internet speeds in metropolitan areas and some regional towns, falling back to standard GPRS (similar to dial up) speeds whenever you move out of the limited 3G coverage areas. Once out of 3G coverage, you will get standard GSM/GPRS speeds. Now that Telstra Mobile Broadband works on Telstra's Next G network, for maximum speed and coverage we recommend Telstra Mobile Broadband.
