Our History...

Stratel Pty Ltd was registered in March 2000 to operate Telstra Store Waurn Ponds. We first opened our doors on July 3rd of that year with a clear vision to deliver first class customer service and telecommunications solutions to business and consumer customers across the Geelong and Surfcoast region.

With our continued focus on service, we soon developed a reputation in Geelong and the surrounding areas as the number one retailer for Telstra products and services.

In 2002, due to continued growth, we opened an office in Geelong staffed with a specialised team of experts to assist business and corporate customers.

August of 2007 saw us relocating our Waurn Ponds store to the newly redeveloped part of the Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre, with a brand new store fit-out and a fresh, modern, open layout.

In February 2010, we renovated the ground level of our Stratel office building in Fenwick Street. We transformed into the official "Telstra Business Centre Geelong", with a range of live devices and solutions aimed at business and corporate customers.

In June 2010, we performed a major redevelopment of our store in Waurn Ponds, expanding the shop space by taking the wall backwards and introducing touch screen customer experience centres to help our staff discover and demonstrate the best plans, options and offers for our customers. As well as that, over 40 live mobile phones and other telecommunication devices were installed...ready for all our customers to experience fully before purchasing.

On December 1st 2011, we opened Telstra Store Geelong CBD, one of the largest Telstra's stores in Australia...right in the heart of Geelong. Situated on the iconic corner of Moorabool & Ryrie Street, our beautiful new store is open, spacious and full of trained Telstra experts, ready to help!

We continue to reinvest in our business by ensuring we always have adequately trained staff on hand with a focus on out-servicing and out-performing the competition in every way. We now operate two of the largest and most successful Telstra Stores in the nation.

Now in our 11th year, our goal is to continue building on our successes and expand upon the range of products and services we offer, so our customers have one place to go for all their needs.
